BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 PRODID:-/-/EN BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:Thenford Arboretum UID:138 DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Snowdrop walk at the Thenford Aboretum and Garden.  The house and garden was purchased by Lord and Lady Heseltine in 1976.   “The arboretum, now spread out over seventy acres, features a collection of more than three thousand different trees and shrubs, together with extensive herbaceous borders, water gardens, an alpine trough garden, a sculpture garden, a rose garden and a rill.”\n\nThese beautiful and extensive gardens are home to a National Collection of Snowdrops, over 600 different snowdrop species and cultivars. \n\n“Lord and Lady Heseltine were encouraged by Henry and Carolyn Elwes of Colesbourne Park to broaden their collection of snowdrops in the Nineties. These were planted beneath the magnificent ash tree, west of the walled garden.
