This award is for the photographer of a diverse portfolio of 12 images that celebrates current standards of excellence in professional garden photography and stands out for their composition, lighting and impact.

Entrants are invited to submit a body of work which best demonstrates the diversity of work commissioned over the year. The photographs must have been published including print media, online media, via stock agency or shown in a public exhibition space between  Friday, 8th September 2023 and Thursday 29th August 2024. 

In addition one of the submitted images can be a winning PGPA Image of the Month, one can be an image from the photographer's own website and one can be an image from another professional website.

The winning photographer will demonstrate the diversity and range of their work and their images will stand out for their style and skill. The plant images will showcase spot-on technique and original artistic views of the subject, garden images will illustrate everything that is special about that particular garden and/or plants. Judges will also consider the demonstration of technical skills including composition, depth of field, sharpness, use of light and seasonality.

Photographs that have been wholly or partly AI generated are not permitted.

Entry is open to all and is free to GMG members; a fee of £45 is applicable to non-member entrants.
