Biography

I am a specialist garden photographer and, since the mid-1980s, a regular contributor of garden features and stock images to national and international garden media. I accept commissions from magazines, garden designers, organisations, book publishers, advertising agencies and private individuals. My library of work is fully searchable at www.mariannemajerus.com. My work has been recognised by awards including GMG Photographer of the Year and Features Photographer of the Year. I’ve been the overall winner of International Garden Photographer of the Year and European Garden Photographer of the Year. My book "Garden Design: A Book of Ideas” won GMG Book Photographer of the Year Award. I love exploring beautiful gardens and capturing their essence. I derive a great deal of creative inspiration from these interactions with nature, enjoying being the first person in the garden on a frosty morning, and the last to leave as twilight falls.

Additional Interests

I am also a successful portrait photographer with work represented in the collections of The National Portrait Gallery in London, The Arts Council of Great Britain and the Centre National de l'Audiovisuel in Luxembourg.
