Prior to that she was at Gardens Illustrated for eight years, latterly as Editor. She is the author of several books including The Flower Garden and Winter Gardens and her latest book, Pastoral Gardens, is due to be published in November 2024. She writes a successful Substack column based on her own cottage garden in Berkshire, and has built up her own website, budtoseed.co.uk, with her own online shop.
