Biography

Garden Designer and Consultant, Gardening Teacher, Garden Writer. My passion is edible, ornamental gardens where humans, pets and wildlife can co-exist happily (most of the time). I taught RHS & C&G at Adult Education and now teach bespoke Gardening Lessons where my student's garden is their classroom. Small group Gardening Workshops in my own garden are now available (see Plews website). Giving talks and demos to garden clubs & WI; running workshops for community gardens and judging at local shows also keeps me out of mischief. I've written the award winning Plews Potting Shed blog for my website since 2011; and since 2000s have written for local magazines, The Landscapers Library, Garden centres & published eBooks. c 70% of the photography on my website is my own. I'm happy to travel across the UK for design, consultancy, teaching, gardening courses, gardening talks and workshops.

Additional Interests

I love walking, with or without dogs, films, art exhibitions Finding inspiration in architectural details, soaring spires and the placement of breads in an artisan bakery. My new, seriously overgrown 1/2 acre garden keeps me busy too. (see @SpitfiresandSlowWorms )
