Biography

Kathy is a cook, veg grower and writer who worked in London advertising agencies before escaping to the countryside, finding solace from depression and burnout, and a new career, in the veg patch. After working at Daylesford Organic Farm, she became a fulltime writer and recipe developer, hosting supper clubs and cookery demonstrations with harvests from her garden, as well as styling and developing recipes. She has a column in Simple Things magazine and in Borough Market's, Market Life, as well as regular slots on BBC Radio Oxford and Magic FM. Kathy won a YBF award and the Soil Association's Best Blog award in 2019 and the Guild of Food Writers Award for online writing, 2021. Kathy’s cookbook, From the Veg Patch (Ebury, 2021) was listed in Delicious magazine's Top 25 cookbooks of 2021 and was shortlisted for Guild of Food Writers Award for Best Book.
