Biography

From a degree in Modern Languages, via 28 years in arts administration and graphic design, latterly as Publications Manager for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, I began my photographic journey in 2013, taking the plunge in October 2019 to become a freelance photographer focusing on architecture and gardens. I create photo books and cover many gardens in the Yorkshire area for the National Garden Scheme.

Additional Interests

I'm a big BBC Radio 3 and classical music fan, I play the piano and have spent many years of my life as a member of a choir. I learned French and German at university, and latterly completed a diploma in Spanish language studies, so I particularly enjoy travelling to countries where I can converse with the locals, and photograph Mediterranean gardens and interesting buildings. On my own I've visited Seville, Sicily, Naples and Lyon; people talk to you when you have your camera - it's very sociable!
