Biography
Julie Skelton is a Surrey-based, full-time professional garden photographer. Her elegant, light-filled photographic work has been internationally published in a variety of media. She was listed by Horticulture Week (Oct 2020) as one of the UK's "most influential garden photographers", and was a finalist in International Garden Photographer of the Year 2023 and 2024 (IGPOTY 16 / 17, 'Beautiful Gardens'). Her passion for garden photography is fuelled by a firm belief in the mental and physical benefits of spending time in green spaces.
Julie comes from a teaching and training background, as well as having spent a number of years in portrait and event photography. Recent commissions & collaborations have included the Beth Chatto Gardens, Gaze Burvill, Tom Stuart Smith Studio, the National Garden Scheme, J Parker's, the RHS, and a variety of private gardens and garden designers.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys music, travel, sketching, and an ongoing search for the best tea & cake in the UK.
Favourite plants to grow in her own garden: peas, blueberries, rhubarb, dahlias and hostas.
