Biography

After a career in IT I decided that gardening was more important and acquired qualifications from the RHS and in teaching, social and therapeutic horticulture, Mental Health Recovery and counselling. I work as a Social & Therapeutic Horticulture practitioner, adult education tutor and speaker. My articles, blogs and videos explain the Why as well as the How for gardeners at home. I write a monthly gardening column for a local magazine and am keen to spread the word that gardening, and the connection to nature that it engenders, are good (even vital) to our mental health.

Additional Interests

Wildlife friendly gardening; table-top gardening for people living with dementia, mental health needs or life limiting conditions.
