New late-flowering azaleas

Millais Nurseries has introduced a new range of late-flowering deciduous azaleas.

The new ‘Midsummer’ azaleas is the result of a 15-year breeding programme, started by the late Ted Millais. This has extended the flowering season by at least 10 days to the end of June, and produced some lovely plants with great foliage, and wonderful scent. The range includes 'Midsummer Coral', 'Midsummer Girl', 'Midsummer Moon' and 'Midsummer Star;.

The nursery won a Gold Medal at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show for its display of these azaleas.
